Rabiul Awwal is that Muslim month when the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu AlaihiWasallam) performed grace in the universe. On the 12th of Rabiul Awwal the inexhaustible light known as Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) was born, conquering the most powerful darkness until then. Allah Subhaanahu Wata’ala through His Eternal Mercy has given mankind a gift, which cannot be measured by its value. Celebrating, remembering and showing gratitude for the beautiful day we received this precious gift is known as Jashne Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam). Indeed, it is a day of great celebration and splendor, for on which we thank Allah Ta’ala for His gift, which is beyond the reach of mortal man. It is in this Meelad-un-Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) that we find the opportunity to renew our souls and strengthen our belief in Allah Subhaanahu Wata’ala and His Beloved Rasool (Sallallahu AlaihiWallall).
Allah Ta’ala exclaims in the Holy Qur’an, “And reminds them of the days of Allah.” [Surah Ibrahim, V5] Indeed every day and night, every second part of life is in the midst of His creation and belongs to Him, so what days does Allah Ta’ala remind His servants? These are the days when Allah Ta’ala sent His benefits to His servants. And what is the Bounty of Bounties? Those who believe know that in addition to all the gifts from Allah Ta’ala there is nothing more obvious than the personality of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). Allah Ta’ala also says in the Holy Qur’an, "Say (O Muhammad), with the acceptance of Allah's Bounty and Mercy the believers should rejoice." Therefore, the Holy Qur’an clearly states that believers should
remember and express joy in accepting the gifts of Allah Ta’ala. Almighty Allah then says, "Proclaim and proclaim the grace of your Lord." [Surah Duha, V11] Imam Bukhari (Radiallahu Ta’alaAnh) says that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) is the greatest Bounty of Allah Allah. So in accordance with the Aayat and the above narrative, our Beloved Baala (SallallahuAlaihi Wasallam) should be the object of most appreciation.
The purpose of celebrating Milad Shareef is to show joy and gratitude to Allah Ta’ala for the good birth of a venerable prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and there is no doubt from the above Aayaat that this is a good and commendable act. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu AlaihiWasallam) entered this strange world on Monday and as a token of gratitude to Allah Ta’ala
on this day, he fasted every Monday. When asked about his fast on Monday he replied, “I was
he was born on Monday and the revelation also began on this day. ”So even the Holy Prophet
(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) himself celebrated his birthday and expressed gratitude to Allah
Ta’ala, which is the essence of the celebrations of Milad-un-Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).
At the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), Abu Lahab's maidservant, Tawaibah brought the news of a child (Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) who was born to his brother Hazrat Abdullah (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh). With a shout of joy Abu Lahab freed Thuwaibah from his chains of slavery. All Muslims know that Abu Lahab was a kaafir and that Surah Lahab is the Almighty wrath of Allah upon him, but Muslims listen:
It is said of Bukhari Shareef that when Abu Lahab died he was seen in a dream by Hazrat Abbas (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) in a very bad condition. Hazrat Abbas (Radiallahu Ta'ala Anh) asked him, "What happened?" Abu Lahab replied, "I have never been at peace since I broke up with you all but yes, in this war I am getting water because with this finger I have liberated Tawaibah."
In another history Imam Hafiz Ibn Asqalani (Rahmatullah Alaih) records that Hazrat Abbas (Radiallahu Ta'ala Anh) said, "One year after the death of Abu Lahab I saw him in a very bad state in a dream saying to me," I have never been at peace since I left you all. but yes every Monday my punishment decreases. "This is because Abu Lahab released Tawaibah on Monday after hearing the good news of the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).
Commenting on this narration, Shah Abdul Haq Muhaddis Dehlvi (Rahmatullah Alaih) writes, "In this event there is clear evidence to celebrate Milad Shareef and that those who rejoice and spend money in celebrating Milad Shareef will therefore be a commendable position, because if kaafir is like Abu Lahab received the gift of rejoicing in the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) then the greatest reward will be the reward for Muslims who do the same. ”
Allamah Ibn Hajar Makki (Rahmatullah Alaih) writes in his great book Ne'matul Kubra the words of the first four Muslim Caliphs:
Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) said, "Whoever spends money on one part of Milad Shareef, will be my friend in Jannat."
Hazrat Umar Farooq (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) said, "He who honors the Milad of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), keep Islam alive!"
Hazrat Uthman Ghani (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) said, "Whoever spent one dirham in Milad Shareef's attempt, it is as if he had been involved in the battles of Badr and Hunain!"
Hazrat Maula Ali (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) said, "He who honored Milad Shareef and played a major role in its capture, will leave this country to Imaan and enter Jannat without looking!"
Allamah Ismail Haqqi (Rahmatullah Alaih) writes in his famous Tafseer Roohul Bayaan under the Qur’anic Verse “Muhammadur Rasoolullah” that celebrating Milad Shareef is also a mark of respect for the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). Moreover, Imam Jalaaluddin Suyuti (Rahmatullah Alaih) and Allamah Ibn Hajar Makki (Rahmatullah Alaih), who were the intellectuals in Islam, testified to the acceptance of Milad Shareef and at the same time, opposed the erroneous beliefs of those who called the Milat Shareef 'Bid. Sayyiah '(bad naming)
Hazrat Shah Waliullah Muhaddis Dehlvi (Rahmatullah Alaih) reports, “In Makkah Shareef on the day of Milad-un-Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) I was present. People sent greetings to the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and spoke of his birth and miracles at the time of his birth, I saw Noor (light) and blessings in that circle. I had the courage to find out where Noor came from and I came to know that Noor was an angel sent to such gatherings and I saw the Light of angels and the Light of Grace combined. ”
He goes on to explain that when his venerable father said that, "At the time of the birth of the Beloved Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) I always cooked food for people but one year apart from chana (gram) grilled I had nothing else to give my guests and I was miserable." there I saw the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and next to him lay a roasted chana and the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) was very happy.
If after all this evidence there are people who do not want to accept Milad Shareef's approval, then they should consider the following statement. Imam Mujaddid Alfe Thaani (Radiallahu Ta'ala Anh), an 11th-century Mujaddid, has stated in his writings Milad Shareef, “What is important is that the Qur'an is read aloud and that praises in honor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) are celebrated? ”
There is further evidence of Milad Shareef's approval but another incident is presented that will strengthen our belief in Milad Shareef's approval. On the night of the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), angels came and stood at the door of the house of Sayyidah Amina (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anha) and began reciting Salaat and Salaam.
Yes, a sad and disgraced Shaitaan ran away sad. [Madaarijun-Nubuwwah] Therefore, those who, in their bosom that illuminate the light of superstition, who celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and who represent to send Salaam on him, follow the practice of angels. And those who prevent others from attending such gatherings by calling it haraam and bid’at-esayyiah and fleeing from such gatherings follow the practice of shaitaan. We should therefore think carefully about this and decide whether we want to follow the angels or follow the shaitaan. Unfortunately, it would be those who need these benefits!
May Allah Ta'ala grant us all Taufeeq to participate in the beautiful celebration of Jashne Eid-Miladun-Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), so that we may show our joy and gratitude to Almighty Allah and receive the mercy and gifts of Allah Ta'ala descending on this day. good, Ameen.
